Kondex, a manufacturer with a majority of its products agriculturally based, is looking for a Facility/Tech Services Manager.
This position will be key in supporting Kondex's mission of helping to feed and fuel the world.
We are looking for a leader who will oversee the maintenance and operation of building, grounds, equipment, and other infrastructures to ensure the Kondex facility is functioning optimally and safely.
The duties include managing the Tech Services staff, negotiating with suppliers and contractors, managing building renovations, improvements, and all equipment installation, repair, and upkeep.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.
Responsible for building systems and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation and performance.
Ensure plant is fit for purpose and to provide proactive solutions when required.

Plan and oversee all equipment repair and installation activities.
3.
Plan and allocate Tech Services workload and supervise staff.
4.
Collaborate with Team Leaders to ensure appropriate production support coverage and establish work priorities.
5.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering team to develop and execute preventive maintenance plans, manage spare parts inventory and operator's manuals for facilities and equipment.
6.
Serve as project manager for large, facility-related capital projects.
7.
Manage expenses and control departmental budget.
8.
Ensure routine inspections and maintenance on facility and repairs are completed.
Prepare facility for changing weather conditions.
9.
Maintaining day-to-day operations of all plant and process equipment, such as planning and scheduling maintenance work orders.
10.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
11.
Collaborate with senior management team on capital budgeting for Technical Services and facility's needs.
12.
Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
13.
Works with Manufacturing Engineering team to identify specialty vendors and contractors for the service, maintenance and upgrades to equipment as needed.
14.
Actively participate in the selection development and retention of Tech Services associates.
15.
Perform occasional hands-on maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.

Qualifications:
Minimum Technical
Qualifications:
Completion of higher education program; bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, technical degree, or journeyman.
Five or more years of leadership experience in equipment maintenance and/or facility & grounds in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Technical
Qualifications:
Valid Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM).
Experience at a site certified to ISO 140001.
Experience with an eMaintenance system.
